ah yes. i watched this a few days ago - he also did a brilliant talk for the veritas forum at berkeley.
on the same topic but a difference in content and it’s longer.
will have to try and tackle the book over the summer.
I love the guy with a multi-coloured jumper 53:30 in. He was awesome. The guy after him was a nut-job though!
Bit weird, just yesterday I added this book to my reading list. Quite like his style (never listen to him for this long before) he manages to make a reasonably boring, laid back voice quite engaging.
I’m guessing that the nut-job was the last one pretending he was God? He does make a good point though. We don’t believe because some random guy turned up 2000 years ago and told us to but he did actually live an amazing life, he did give some shocking teachings, he did die and rise again and ascend to heaven and loads of eye-witnesses were willing to die for the claims they made (something i doubt his friend Brian will be willing to do). And then of course there’s all the prophets to back him up. So nutty or not - it’s a helpful point. I’ve come accross bigger ‘nut-jobs’ than that before.
